On the 25th October 1415, on the road to Calais, a French force of 30,000 men confronted a wet and exhausted English army of just 6,000. In the epic battle that ensued, the flower of French chivalry was destroyed as, against the odds,nearly 10,000 men of the French army fell.Splendid heraldic detail and action poses recreate one of the great battles of the 15th century.

Nelson-Battle Of Trafalgar 200th Anniversary-21st October 2005

On 21st October 1805 a British Fleet under the command of Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson not only destroyed the combined fleets of France and Spain but with it Napoleans dreams of invading Britain.The battle of Trafalger was the most important naval engagement of the Napoleonic wars, however the great victory was overshadowed by national mourning at the loss of Lord Nelson, killed at the height of the battle on board his flagship HMS Victory.The bi-centenary of the battle approaches in 2005 and so W.Britains have created this special Trafalger range.Capturing in stunning detail Nelson and his key officers, Vice Admiral Villeneuve and the men of the combined fleet who faced him.With a unique set paying homage to his true love,Lady Emma Hamilton. A special feature is the two pavia sets that show Nelson on the deck of Victory early on 21st October, as the famous signal 'England Expects' is about to be hoisted and at the height of the battle, men on Victory's main gun deck, about to fire one of her 32 pounder cannons.
