Matchbox have produced many styles of boxes since 1953, we have listed the following Box types as used in our descriptions:
Box Type A. 'Moko' lettering on box in script form.
B1 Moko Lesney box has plain end flap.
B2 Box has model number on end flap.
B3 Box has model number on end flap in white circle.
B4 As above but includes model description in black on a white panel on end flap.
B5 As above but model description in white without white panel.
C Box shows 'A Lesney' on front, from 1961 to 1963.
D Coloured picture box 'Matchbox Series' produced from 1962/67
E Coloured picture box 'Matchbox' with 'Series below, from 1964/70
F Coloured picture box, 'Matchbox' across top of box, model number in top right corner, from 1968 to 1970.
